The individual will be part of a team dedicated to the sale and delivery of complex solutions or services to businesses. An exceptional Solution Sales Architect must have extensive knowledge of the Crossvale and Red Hat’s products and services and must understand how they can be applied to bring customer success and value. The individual will support the sales team and win new business.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and potential customers
  • Demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Modify and configure products to meet customer needs
  • Help in researching and developing new products
  • Take full responsibility for the technical aspects of the sales cycle including general evangelism, introductory meetings, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional supporting technical resources. Identify and handle key customer technical objections, prescriptively guiding them to success
  • Work with customers to understand their specific needs and translate internally into product / services.
  • Work with senior leadership at clients to make sure client needs are met.
  • Develop technical solutions for client-specific use cases. 
  • Continuously develop relationships at the "implementation" level within each customer relationship.
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Providing training and producing support material for the sales team
  • Research and Development of internal products

Qualifications

  • The individual must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field closely related to
    Information Technology such as Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Technical Sales role, or an implementation or technical role.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task across a wide range of tasks and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to technical audiences and can handle objections on the fly.
  • An ability to listen to customer needs, assess these needs effectively and address them through new product and service offerings.
  • Demonstrated experience with client-side tools and technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one server-side language (PHP, Python, Java, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one integration tool preferred (webMethods, Tibco etc) .
  • Very good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience developing technical solutions.
  • A minimum of 4 years in a professional senior technical role such as technical lead, team lead, architect, or any other hands on leadership role.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with customers directly.
  • Background in at least two of the following technologies will be required:  Red Hat JBoss EAP; Openshift, Fuse, RHEL, BPMS.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including conducting presentations to teams and to customers
  • Must be able to travel when needed

 

 

Job location: Plano, TX, must be in the N. Dallas/Addison one day per week
